How it works
HELPS BUILD MUSCLE WITH ITS EASY-TO-ABSORB PROTEIN
Whey protein is one of the easiest proteins for our body to absorb and use.
However, being dairy-based, whey also comes with lactose and other carbs and fats.
Up to 70% of Indians find it hard to digest lactose. This causes the bloated feeling associated with whey supplements.
Nutrova Whey Protein Isolate has almost all its lactose filtered out, making it incredibly easy to digest.
It's also free of added sugars, and has no artificial sweeteners (for better gut health).
Evidence
We routinely conduct third-party clinical reports on the whey protein isolate in our product. Here are the reports' findings:
- 92% of its whey protein isolate is protein
- Contains 5.5 grams of BCAAs in a 30-gram serving
- Contains negligible levels of lactose
What's inside & why?

Whey protein isolate
to support post-workout recovery, with its:
(i) ideal PDCAA score of 1 (which means that it contains all 9 essential amino acids, and in the right amounts)
(ii) high concentration of BCAAs (branched-chain amino acids, the building blocks of muscle tissue)
Frequently asked questions
While it can be consumed at any time that’s convenient for you, these are some specific timings that may be helpful: (i) between meals, either as a snack or around your workout (ii) with breakfast, in case you’re looking to reduce hunger cravings, which high-protein breakfasts, as suggested by some small studies, can help with (iii) immediately after a workout, for a convenient source of high-quality, BCAA-rich protein.
There’s no harm in using two protein supplements simultaneously, particulary if they serve complementary goals. Whey protein isolate is an excellent source of easy-to-absorb protein, while other proteins such as collagen peptides or casein can have other uses. However, we would strongly recommend that protein supplements augment a diet that contains
protein-rich foods, and not serve as a primary source of protein, to maximise benefits.
Absolutely not! Whey proteins contain lactose, which generally leads to the bloated feeling, since it’s hard to digest for (a surprising number of) people. Nutrova Whey Protein Isolate is highly purified and has negligible lactose, making it really light on the stomach with no bloating.
Added sugars (and fillers like maltodextrin) create a spike in our blood sugar, which can lead to health problems. Artificial sweeteners might adversely affect the good bacteria in our gut and also increase sugar cravings. If you’d like it to taste sweeter, try it as a delicious smoothie by blending it with a few ingredients like fruits and yogurt.
