The Science

Vegan diets in India can be nutritious, but still lack some nutrients:

  • They're rich in fibre and phytate; although healthy, these block zinc and (the plant-based form of) iron from being easily absorbed
  • They contain iodine in low levels, and lack vitamin D3vitamin B12, taurine, retinol (vitamin A's active form) and vitamin K2

Others are generally low in any diet:

  • More than 50% of vitamin C is lost to heat and various processes
  • Copper isn’t efficiently absorbed by the body

This product has been designed keeping in mind the nutrient intakes of individuals in India who follow vegan diets, or vegetarian diets with very low dairy consumption. Our goal with this product is to provide nutrients at doses that fill in the gaps while making sure we avoid excess intake.

We have also made sure that every nutrient is in its most bioavailable (easy-to-absorb) and effective form. For example, the product contains zinc citrate (a superior form of zinc), iron bisglycinate (an easy-to-absorb form of iron that’s light on the stomach), and tocotrienol-rich vitamin E, all of which are rarely found in multivitamins.

We recommended consuming it daily for at least 2 to ideally 4 months. After that, the continuation is entirely up to you. It’s perfectly safe to consume for any duration you choose, the same way you would consume any multivitamin.

I have been trying Nutrova Formula V lately after dinner. Really good stuff and specially designed for vegans and vegetarians. I highly recommend it.
